Organisations that are signed up to Time to Spare can now request volunteers through a brokerage team making it much easier to access the volunteers. The brokers can help match volunteers with voluntary and community organisations who have a need for verified/ vetted volunteers. The service will also help to verify or carry out new DBS check with volunteers. You can use the Brokerage service to request volunteers with specific skills or background for community activity.

Employee volunteering opportunities
For volunteering opportunities, or to find volunteers, Volunteer Centre Camden offers a brokerage service, as well as a range of other services and training to help organisations develop their volunteering strategy and development.
Trustees are unpaid and so can be thought of as volunteers. Voluntary Action Camden offers training for voluntary management committee members (trustees) in partnership with the Mary Ward Centre. The course, Goverance in the VCS, runs every spring. VAC also runs an event for trustees during Trustees’ Week (1st week of November) and also supports a network of trustees in Camden on Meetup.
There are a wealth of informal volunteering opportunities our there – including; being a carer; supporting the NHS; getting involved in a sports, arts, or hobby club; getting involved online; get involved with a Trades Union, a campaign; or ‘friends’ group supporting your local park, school, or library. Take a look at our Social Action pages for ideas.
