Voluntary Action Camden

A number of  Peer Mentors have already been trained and started with their peer mentoring interventions.  Other volunteer peer mentors will be recruited from the sector, private sector or from colleges (Work Placement) to support their peers on various areas such as HR, Finance, Business Planning, etc.

Would you like to become involved with the peer-mentoring programme?  Perhaps you have specific skills and a bit of extra time on your hands with which you could help someone else develop new skills?

If so, or if you’d like more information on the programme we would love to hear from you.

Please contact Somanah Achadoo  |   Tel:  0207 284 6556  |  Email:  sachadoo@vac.org.uk

Volunteer Centre Camden

People in business have a wide variety of skills that could be used to benefit voluntary and community organisations. This project is specifically for mangers to access coaching or mentoring type support. Managers in charitable organisations would be matched with someone to provide a sounding board for ideas, troubleshooting and moral support.

There will be the option for managers from the private sector to access training on how to apply a ‘solutions focused approach in mentoring’, using principles to support people to apply their skills, rather than telling people what to do or providing answers for them. This will help them in other areas of their work too.

The VCC service includes a briefing for managers, a one day training course (optional), and a matching service to match your managers with community leaders in need of some moral support.

To register your interest or for further information, please contact VCC.
