This stand-alone course is also day 1 of the VAC Better Governance course which has been successfully running for five year. This first day looks at what it means to be a trustee, how the role differs for trustees of small organisation as well as answering many other questions, such as, what is the difference between a management committee and a board of trustees? Tuesday – Launch of new Trustee Resources VAC and VCC will be celebrating the launch of new on-line resources for trustees, including role descriptions, recruitment guides and more.
Wednesday – Trustee Speed Matching Event 6.00 – 8.30pm
The annual Trustee Speed Matching event is for any member who is interested in recruiting new or additional trustees to their board.
Boards benefit greatly from having a more diverse range of people, particularly from under-represented groups such as younger people and those with a wide range of backgrounds and skills.
This year’s event takes place at The Jewish Museum on Wednesday, 6th November.
